Snippets Manager
With the Snippets Manager you can store code snippets that you use frequently. You can access it by clicking on the 3-dot menu in the debugging panel, followed by Snippets.
Snippets are tied to Projects by default. To make a snippet Global, click the 🌐 Make the snippet global icon. You can tie it back to the current project by clicking the icon again.
Click the snippet name to rename it.
Click the 🗑️ Delete snippet icon to delete it.
Just like Notes, you can lock sensitive snippets. To do this, click the 🔓 Lock snippet button.
Snippet locking is a very basic way to hide text. DO NOT use this feature to store your bank passwords or social security number, etc.
Think of it as protection against the annoying coworker who likes to sneak up behind you or if you live stream your coding sessions.
You can search and copy code snippets by title or their content with Butler. Open Butler with Cmd + Shift + P on macOS, or Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows/Linux, and start writing the name or the contents of a snippet.
